A former resident of Green Grass, an exile and the current leader of Bone Camp. A man who saved a dying settlement from starvation, but at the cost of changing it forever.
Strend was not born in the Bones. Once, he lived in the Green Grass and was an ordinary man. However, after a failed trial, he began to drink heavily, and later committed an act for which he was exiled from the settlement.
His wanderings led him to the Thick Forest — a settlement that was slowly dying from hunger. People were leaving their homes, craftsmen were departing, and the remaining residents no longer believed in the future.
It was then that Strend proposed what no one dared to: to start hunting Khemars and use their meat for food. This saved the settlement from destruction. The people survived thanks to him.
But later it became clear that the constant consumption of meat, especially the hearts of Khemars, affects a person's mind. Strength increased, fear disappeared, but along with it, compassion and common sense gradually faded away.
The savior of the settlement gradually turned into its master.
Born in Green Grass. In his youth, he failed the trial, after which he began to abuse alcohol. Later, he took advantage of Sara's trust and attempted to commit violence, for which he was banished from the settlement.
For several years, he wandered between settlements and hunting camps until he found himself in the Thick Forest.
By that time, the settlement was on the brink of extinction. Hunger was taking lives, and many residents had already left their homes. Strend organized a hunt for Khemars and convinced the people to use their meat as food.
Thanks to this, the Thick Forest survived.
Over time, Strend gained influence, then power, and later completely subjugated the settlement to his will. The old name gradually disappeared, giving way to a new one — Bone Camp.
